Mr Ioannis Pengas

Mr Pengas has undertaken both his Undergraduate (Dundee University-Scotland) & Postgraduate training in the UK. He completed his Trauma & Orthopaedic training (CCT) through the prestigious Percivall Pott Orthopaedic Rotation based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, London.
During his training he undertook and completed both a Medical Doctorate (M.D.) in Knee Pathology, titled Meniscectomy & Osteoarthritis, as well as a Postgraduate Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Medical Law & Ethics. This was followed by two highly sought after post CCT knee fellowships with Mr. Tim Spalding & Pete Thompson at UHCW and The Basingstoke Osteotomy fellowship with Mr. A. Wilson & M. Risebury. He was then appointed as a Knee Specialist Consultant in 2016.
Mr Pengas is a current member and co-convener of the upcoming Biological Knee Society annual meeting at Downing College Cambridge in January 2020 with National and International guest speakers.
His desire to be able to offer contemporary solutions, that may not be readily available in the NHS, has resulted in the creation of the SWSO group with like-minded healthcare professionals locally in Cornwall (www.swso.co.uk).
Mr Pengas offers joint preservation solutions to osteoarthritic & sport related knee conditions.
